This then creates superficial puncture wounds. This will releases growth factors that stimulate the microfibers (fybroblasts), creating new collagen and elastin.

The aim is to ‘shock’ the skin without any damage to the epidermis and healthy tissue.

After microneedling, the skin will naturally start to heal itself – the process of wound healing is immediately set in to motion.

FAQ’s

Is microneedling painful?

Microneedling is not painful, just a slightly strange sensation. Depending on the depth of the needles used (this will be discussed), a numbing cream may be used before the treatment starts.

How long should it take before i see results?

You actually start to see the first signs of results around 3-5 days after your treatment, and they keep getting better there after.

What is the downtime?

Depending on the depth of the needles used (this will be discussed), your face will be a little pink/red for the rest of the day. The day after microneedling, you are able to apply make up etc. Within 7 days of your treatment, you may experience some dry skin and a slight peeling – this is totally normal.
